There are many reasons you may drive a diesel. In a survival situation, a vehicle with better mileage, a typically longer lifespan, and more towing power is more than worth its weight in gold. Diesel vehicles typically have two batteries which require added protection. This kit provides that protection and ensures that your diesel will be an extremely useful tool and vehicle in the after-effects of a EMP disaster. Use this kit on your vehicle to protect it from transients-like load changes, lightning strikes, conducted transients, and even an EMP. Save money when you purchase these parts together. Parts are also sold individually.

Vehicles are protected using three products: T.R.A.P. OBD2, T.R.A.P.-Bs, and High-saturation Car Ferrites

The T.R.A.P.™ OBD2 Transient Reducing Auxiliary Plug is the ultimate transient protection device for your vehicle’s OBD2 port. With a powerful 5,000-watt transient voltage suppression device boasting a lightning-fast <1 picosecond turn-on time, the T.R.A.P.™ safeguards your vehicle against electrical transients with unmatched efficiency.

The T.R.A.P.™-B contains the same 5,000-watt transient voltage suppression device in a form that can be easily connected across a vehicle’s battery terminals.

High-saturation ferrites can be installed on the battery wires to reduce high-frequency current transients.

Most diesel vehicles have an extra battery, so their requirements for EMP protection are slightly more than the regular car. A normal gas vehicle uses our EMP Vehicle kit with 1 T.R.A.P., 1 T.R.A.P.-B, and 2 ferrites. Because of the extra battery, the diesel kit has an extra T.R.A.P.-B and 2 extra ferrites. The total amount of items in this kit is 7, as opposed to 4 for a regular car.
