RMA Next Generation 1165 Lightweight Multi-Curve Level IV Plate

RMA's Next Generation 1165 Gen 2 is the lightest affordable Level IV plate available — combining multi-hit Level IV/RF3 protection with a barely-there 5.3 lb Shooter's Cut and a razor-thin 0.7" profile, without the premium price tag traditionally associated with ultra-lightweight armor.

The 1165 Gen2 achieves this by pairing RMA's custom-engineered 99.7% HyPure Alumina Oxide ceramic strike face with a Dyneema® UHMWPE backer. HyPure ceramics are significantly harder than conventional lower-purity ceramics, requiring about 20% less ceramic thickness to achieve the same ballistic performance — resulting in a thinner, lighter plate at a lower price than competing lightweight Level IV options.

Like all RMA Level IV plates, the 1165 Gen2 is multi-curve, edge-to-edge, NIJ 0101.07 tested, and built entirely in Centerville, Iowa.
