RMA Trauma Pad

RMA's Trauma Pad is a non-ballistic closed-cell foam insert designed to reduce back face deformation (BFD) and dissipate the impact energy transferred when a round strikes your body armor. Placed behind your plate inside your carrier, it disperses energy over a larger surface area to reduce the perceived force of an impact and increase overall wearer comfort.

Back face deformation occurs when bullet energy deforms the rear surface of your armor toward your body. While all RMA hard armor plates are built to limit BFD to under 44mm per NIJ standards, adding a trauma pad further mitigates energy transfer and blunt force trauma. It's a lightweight, low-profile upgrade to any hard armor setup.

Note: This product is NON-BALLISTIC. It must be used in conjunction with a rated ballistic armor plate — it does not provide ballistic protection on its own.
