RMA's 1155 Generation 2 is the new standard in affordable Level IV/RF3 ceramic body armor. Starting at just 6.6 lbs for a Shooter's Cut (nominal 10"×12") and 7.4 lbs for a SAPI Medium cut (9.5"×12.5"), the 1155 Gen2 delivers multi-hit Level IV/RF3 protection in a lighter, thinner profile than its predecessor.

Built with a 99.7% Alumina Oxide ceramic strike face bonded to a polyethylene composite backer, every 1155 Gen2 plate is multi-curve, edge-to-edge, and manufactured entirely at RMA's factory in Centerville, Iowa. Each plate is NIJ 0101.07 tested and proven to exceed Level IV/RF3 standards — defeating not just the required single 30-06 M2AP round but multiple impacts of M2AP, M855A1, M855, M193, 7.62×39 MSC and API-BZ, and .308.

RMA's Generation 2 design uses hyper-purity Alumina Oxide ceramics to cut weight and thickness without raising the price, making the 1155 Gen2 the most capable affordable Level IV plate available.
