Rated Level IIIA+, the SRT defeats multiple impacts of 7.62×39 FMJ, 7.62×39 Mild Steel Core (AK-47), 6.5 Creedmoor FMJ, 5.56 M193, and all common handgun rounds.

Built from Honeywell UHMWPE at RMA's Centerville, Iowa factory, the 1003 is positively buoyant, extremely tough, and only 0.8" thin — concealable in the Krypsys Concealable Plate Carrier or slipped into a backpack for discreet protection. For law enforcement officers currently wearing soft armor rated only for handgun threats, the SRT offers an immediate rifle-rated protection upgrade with minimal added weight.

The IIIA+ rating reflects that the SRT exceeds standard Level IIIA (handgun-only) performance but sits below the full RF1 standard requiring defeat of three M80 NATO rounds — placing it in a unique, practical sweet spot for those prioritizing light weight and concealability.
