SAPI Plates: Level IIIA

NIJ Level IIIA is a soft/hybrid armor rating certified to stop most handgun rounds, including .44 Magnum and .357 SIG, at NIJ-tested velocities. It's the standard protection level for concealable vests and everyday-carry soft armor panels, not intended for rifle threats.

All Level IIIA SAPI-cut plates in this collection are independently tested to NIJ 0101.06 or the updated 0101.07 standard. Materials are typically UHMWPE or aramid/Kevlar-blend soft panels, giving a lighter, more flexible profile than rifle-rated hard plates. That makes them ideal for concealed wear or as a base layer.

What to expect: the lightest weight and thinnest profile of any protection level we carry, but no protection against rifle-caliber threats.
